Preschool Visits
Throughout the school year, dental hygienists from our practice visit area pre-schools to educate children on brushing, flossing, nutrition, and what to expect when visiting the dental office. Children receive a “goodie bag” which includes a new toothbrush and other fun items. We enjoy this time spent with our community children, and the kids have a good time too! If you would like us to visit your pre-school, please call Lori Gebo at 781-729-1900.
Town Day Fun
We participate in several Town Day events throughout the year, providing current dental information to the public. This year, we attended Reading Town Day and gave out free orthodontic mouthguards, Sonicare toothbrushes, flossers and other goodies! We had a great day meeting the folks from Reading and look forward to the next event.
Stem Cell Research in Baby Teeth
Pediatric Dental Associates is committed to providing our patients with the latest scientific research and resources that will help them now and in the future. That is why we have been working with Store-A-Tooth, a Lexington-based company that preserves and stores baby teeth and their stem cells.
Stem cells contribute to the body’s ability to renew and repair its tissues. Baby teeth and wisdom teeth contain adult stem cells. Although there are currently no clinical applications using dental stem cells, in the future they may become useful for either dental or medical applications. If you would like more information on this topic, visit Store-a-tooth.com.
